Our history
Founded in 1961 in West Virginia, United States, Mylan is now the third-largest generic pharmaceutical company in the world, with presences in more than 140 countries and territories.
As industry leader, Mylan was the first generic manufacturer, in the world, to patent a new drug back in 1984. For over 50 years, Mylan has a long-standing reputation for quality and integrity developing pharmaceutical products.

Employing approximately 15.000 people, Mylan researches, develops, manufactures and distributes generic drugs according to the most rigorous quality standards in the U.S. and Europe.
Our high capacity allows us to provide one of the most extensive portfolios of generic drugs, selling more than 570 products in a wide range of therapeutic categories, presentations and dosages.
